Operating Frequencies

Segments you will find me operating in will be:

SSB – The main meeting frequency is 14.260MHz. Other ones on SSB are 28.460, 24.950, 21.280, 18.128 and for the US hams in particular 7.185. I may also try 3.785 and 1.850.

SSB will use SPLIT mode of operation UP 5-10 will be normal.

RTTY – I will be active in the Oceania RTTY segments of 7043-7060 (avoiding the JA JT65 and PSK segments), 10142-10148, 14080-14095 (avoiding the 14096 WSPR frequency), 18104-18115 or 18095-18100, 21080-21100, 24920-24930 and 28080-28120. For the low bands try 3583-3595.

RTTY will use split mode of operation UP 1-2 normally

PSK – I will be active on 7040-7042, 10140-10142, 14070-14075, 18100-18102, 21070-21075

PSK will use intra-channel split mode – eg radio dial frequency 14.071 TX Audio 500Hz looking UP 500Hz for stations between 1000-2000Hz

JT65 – I will use both 7041 (JA only) and 7076, 10138, 14076, 18102, 21076, 24917, 28076 – note however that I will only use JT65 when the bands are poor enough that RTTY and PSK fail.

JT Operation will always use Unlock TX mode – dont call me exactly on my TX frequency to maximise my chance of decoding you

FT8 – I will use the primary FT8 channels of 3573, 7074, 10136, 14074, 18100, 21074, 24915, 28074 however should they become congested look for E6AG separately on 3570, 7058, 10134, 14094, 18094, 21094, 24913, 28094

FT8 operation protocols are described via this (page).

CW – by prior sked arrangement only. Contact me via Facebook www.facebook.com/NiueE6AG/ or Twitter @VK5GR – my CW skills are still quite poor so if we try and work CW it will be a slow process. (who knows I may learn by listening more on this expedition :-)). Email to e6ag @ bigpond.com  may also reach me.
